Before sharing why I’ve been MIA, thought I’d share a few of my favorite ways I’ve stayed on top of things during this crazy year:
- Cut a few minutes off your am routine: microwave coffee left over from day before
- Make errand running smoother & faster: just don’t run them
- Avoid stress: Build up an arsenal of go-to’s to distract from dealing with (a few of my favorites: wine, Pinterest, Us Mag, Bravo’s RHONY, RHOBH)
I do NOT recommended these, btw! However, I’ll share one I highly recommend in just a bit…
So where have I been? In a whirlwind of sorts:
Said “yes” to an out-of-the-blue opportunity that quickly turned full time. And quickly turned life as I knew it – which was already kind of crazy – upside down.
Where am I now?
Besides being a proud owner of a Keurig (No more day old coffee for me! Thank you Victoria’s Veronica’s Secret ;), I’ve settled into a new role that has less hours and is a more “me” version of that original opportunity. (I’m getting to use a combo of my marketing and organizing skills – in a helping people look / feel more beautiful place – love!).
Where am I going?
Shifting to part time has opened up time for me to write more here, and work with a few clients – using that same marketing (figuring out your best vision) and organizing (how to best get there) combo. But I know in order to do all of this and have a life outside of this, I need to make a change.
The most important goal to focus on
The change I’m making is what I’ve indicated as my Push Goal, a super smart concept I learned from Chalene Johnson in her book, Push:

So what’s my Push Goal? 40 days of super clean eating
I know that for me to accomplish anything else on my list, I have to have more energy to do it. (The “energy” I get from coffee is just not cutting it!)
I’ve done this clean eating cleanse twice before. The first time: phenomenal. The second time: not so much. Decided to do that first version cleanse starting today (Ash Wednesday) because, if my past is any indication, keeping something up or giving something up during Lent ups my odds slightly. And I need all the help I can get with this one!
As much as I’ve (seriously) been dreading it, I know putting better stuff into my body is the catalyst for making some other really good stuff happen.
