I spent the first days of 2020 practically in panic attack mode. Just like the ’10 decade, my Your Life Organizer Instagram account was G.O.N.E. Completely vanished. All I could do was submit a report with IG and hope for the best.
As the days went by I came to the realization that there was a high likelihood I’d have to start from scratch.
One thing about me is I’m pretty darn resilient. When something not so great happens, I try my best to change up my mindset and find a positive way to spin it. (To those closest to me if you’re reading this: DO NOT throw this back at me next time I’m complaining about something!)
The mindset shift I made:
This is like the ULTIMATE Blank Canvas Strategy –
This is the approach I originally used for organizing physical spaces: removing absolutely everything to see the space in a brand new way.
So I said to myself: I’m so grateful (ha – that was a stretch) to have this opportunity to think, Where do I really want to take my business in this new decade? What am I really passionate about? and I just started writing down anything and everything that popped into my head.
I had a page full of thoughts but what it all boiled down to was this:
Making life easier + better.
Making business easier + better.
And summed it it with:
(RE)building a business + life you love
How this pertains to where I’m taking my business? I’m not exactly sure but I do have some ideas – and a new project I’m sharing in just a few days!
HINT: When thinking of my past decade, it’s what I consider my biggest success during that time:)
Using the Blank Canvas Strategy is an ideal way to start off the (re)building process with anything. When you don’t have a preexisting structure you feel you must fit into, you’re able to think outside the box – outside that space. It frees you up and that’s when your best ideas come out.
Now, it’s your turn
Next time you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, unfulfilled, bored – or would simply like to change things up, try my Blank Canvas Strategy. (You don’t have to actually delete your Instagram – or husband! – to do this!)
xoxo,
Angie
PS. Be on the lookout for something brand new – February 1st is the date I have set to launch it!
